General

When is Winterfest?

Winterfest opens from Friday 6 July and runs daily until Sunday 22 July 2018.

Monday to Wednesday 10.00am to 8.00pm

Thursday and Friday 10.00am to 10.00pm

Saturday 10.00am to 12.00midnight

Sunday 9.00am to 10.00pm (closing at 5pm on Sunday 22nd July)

Where is Winterfest held?

Winterfest is held in and around Hart’s Mill – Mundy Street, Port Adelaide.

Tickets

How much does Winterfest cost?

Entry to Winterfest is free. Ice skating, workshops, long lunches and Ice Cube shows require tickets that can be booked here. We encourage you to check whether workshops and shows are sold out before coming to Winterfest.  

When do tickets go on sale?

Tickets go on sale on Tuesday May 15 2018. Buy tickets here.

Where can I purchase tickets?

Can I buy tickets at Winterfest?

Yes – but note that ticket sales for some shows and lunches may close 24 hours before the start time and may sell out before the day of the event.

Are there any age restrictions?

Please note that there are evening ticketed shows, adult workshops and long lunches that are not suitable for children.

Concession ticket costs

The Ice skating rink has family tickets available as does Peter Combe’s family show.

Is there a booking fee?

All advertised prices include booking fees.

Can I swap my ticket for another show once I’ve bought it?

Unfortunately we cannot facilitate ticket swaps between shows, workshops or lunches.

Can I get a refund?

All tickets purchased are non-refundable and non-transferable except as outlined in our terms and conditions. Tickets must be treated like cash, if lost or stolen there is no recourse for a refund. If a show has been cancelled by the promoter/s, Oztix will email you explaining this and the card used to make the purchase will be automatically refunded. Please see the following link for full Terms & Conditions

How do I get to Winterfest?

Can I get public transport to Winterfest?

If you’d prefer to catch public transport Port Adelaide is easily accessible by both bus and train, with multiple stops nearby. Remember, when catching the Outer Harbour line your journey on foot to Hart’s Mill will be shorter if you get off at the Ethelton Station. You can plan your journey at the Adelaide Metro website.

Will parking be available at the Winterfest?

There’s parking right near Winterfest and it’s free too! There will be parking available onsite at Hart’s Mill, with additional parking located in surrounding streets.

Facilities

Who can attend Winterfest?

Winterfest is a family friendly event. Children of all ages are welcome to attend, but anyone under 18 is to be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Winterfest is a licensed event and we do ask that children are supervised by a parent or guardian in and around the bars.

Parts of Winterfest are located close to the Port River and we ask parents to take special care when they or their children are close to the edge of the wharf.

Do you have facilities for the disabled?

Wheel chair access is available to the majority of activities and sites within Winterfest.

The Winterfest site has toilet facilities for the disabled.

Is there seating at the Winterfest?

Winterfest has limited seating in the Flour Shed and some in the Packing Shed.

Will there be ATMs?

Yes, there will be an ATM available onsite for cash withdrawals.

Are credit card and EFTPOS accepted onsite?

This will be up to the individual provider and may not be available at all outlets. Please ensure you have cash available just in case.

Will there be First Aid there?

Yes. First Aid is provided onsite, during all opening hours. If you require medical attention, please notify any member of staff or security who will radio for First Aid.

There is also a first aid treatment facility located onsite. Refer to map.

Is smoking allowed at Winterfest?

Winterfest permits smoking only in outdoor areas but we would request that you consider others and the environment.

Smoking inside any of the Winterfest venues is strictly prohibited.

Food & Beverages

Can we bring food and drink into the Winterfest?

Yes you can bring your own food and non-alcoholic drinks to Winterfest. But just letting you know there will be a fantastic array of options onsite.

Winterfest is licensed and it is a condition of entry that no alcohol be brought onto or taken off the event site.

Anyone found with any prohibited substance shall be removed from site and denied re-entry.

What food and beverages will you have on offer?

There will be a large range of food providers at Winterfest catering to almost every taste bud! Greek, Italian, Serbian, Spanish, Indian, German, Potatoes, Fish n Chips, Healthy Hummus, Gourmet Bakery, Vegan Treats, Crepes and Donuts.

Lost and Found

I’ve lost something – who can I contact to find it?

If you are on site please speak with Winterfest staff, otherwise please contact RenewalSAOurPort@sa.gov.au

What do I do if I lose a child or parent?

Notify any member of staff or security immediately.

What do I do if I find something?

If you find something, please hand it to any member of staff or security and we will do our best to return the item to its owner.

Where do I report Lost and Found articles after Winterfest?

Can I bring my camera?

Yes, you can bring your camera. However, we do not allow photography or filming within the Ice Cube shows or workshops.

Will I be photographed at Winterfest?

Winterfest reserves the right to take video recordings and photographs within its site. On entering, you consent to be photographed and/or videotaped and acknowledge that the intended use is for archival and/or promotional purposes and authorise use by or on behalf of Winterfest.

Prior consent of photography and filming of minors within the site will be requested.

Can I bring my 4-legged friend?

We love pets but please make sure they are on a leash at all times. Pets are welcome on site, but are only allowed in the outdoor areas. Please note that accredited service dogs are permitted into Winterfest venues.

What if it rains?

Rain, hail or shine we will be open. In the event of an extreme weather emergency we may close down some or all of the Winterfest venues and activities. There are plenty of indoor spaces away from the elements as well as cosy outdoor fires.
